Art Camp for Students in Grades 5-8
You may select a single session or multiple days. If you are selecting multiple days, select the first session you would like to join. After you add the first session to the cart, you will be able to add additional sessions. Just click "Event Tickets" from the menu along the top and then scroll to find the Spring Camp tickets. MARCH 13: Alligators and Panthers and Manatees, Oh My!
Florida is known for its memorable and interesting animals! Learn about some of the animals that call Florida home, such as alligators, panthers, and manatees. Using recycled materials, design artwork that represents some of your favorite Florida creatures!
MARCH 16: The Floridian Landscape
Be inspired by the Florida Highwaymen who painted Florida’s tropical coastline and wild backcountry! Create your own Floridian landscape scene that consists of vibrant sunsets, windblown palms, and radiant royal poinciana trees! A variety of media will be used to make landscape scenes standout!
MARCH 17: Lucky Charms
Sham-ROCK during this workshop! Rock out this St. Patrick’s Day by creating a shamrock mosaic using mixed media! Explore things that people consider lucky such as four-leaf clovers, rainbows, wish-bones, and horseshoes! Design your own lucky charm to bring you good fortune!
MARCH 18: Orlando: The City Beautiful
Explore the Florida that’s in our own backyard ? Orlando! Discover why Orlando is known as “The City Beautiful,” while creating artwork inspired by the museum’s namesake. Design a photomontage of Orlando using magazine clippings, paint, markers, and other forms of media.
MARCH 19: Three-Dimensional Landscapes
Discover how to make a landscape scene turn three-dimensional! Create a landscape display using cardboard, fabric, paint, and other mixed media. Learn vocabulary terms such as foreground, middle ground, and background, and how to apply these to make your landscape come alive!
MARCH 20: Florida Nature
Capture the beauty of Lake Estelle, from the wildlife to the plant life, by drawing, painting, printmaking, and more! Students will find inspiration for their creations by looking at the landscape paintings in the exhibition Living Color: The Art of the Highwaymen. Dress comfortably for creating outside.

Early drop off (beginning at 8:00am): $5 per child, per day
Late pick up (until 5:15pm): $5 per child, per day
Refunds are given less a $25 handling fee. Written notice two weeks prior to the class is required. No refunds are made after the classes have started.
